Aggieland '08

This weekend was Abby's 2nd annual trip to Aggieland. My parents are die-hard football fans and they have a motor-home that they take to every Texas A & M football game. It's a lot of fun because they have a tight group of friends that they tailgate with and when I say "tailgate" that doesn't come near to explaining what goes on. FIrst of all, there is state of the art facilities. My parents just got a brand new beautiful motor-home that is larger then there old one and has so much room! It also has a great bathroom and really nice shower might I add. There are 2 satellite televisions on board so there's really no need to even get out of the thing. But most of the fun is on the outside. My parents and their friends motor-homes are all next to each other and they set-up big awnings with lots of seating, an outdoor plasma t.v. playing every other college game that is on, tables that are constantly rotating an array of food, and coolers full of every kind of beverage. It's a great set-up. The food they cook is one of the best parts. Friday night my Dad cooked his incredible ribs and they were delicious!!! Then Saturday morning one of their friends cooked an incredible breakfast and that afternoon we had chili, tamales, and lots of fixins. Chris and I don't go to the actual game but we are so close to the stadium that we can hear everything. Last year Abby was so young and she just played in her bouncy seat and was passed around from person to person. This year was totally different. She was all over the place. She loved all the attention and of course all the food. Her cousin Sarah came up on Saturday and they had a blast together. She burned a lot of energy this weekend. We planned on staying all weekend but had to come back early Saturday night because I was sick. I've been fighting this terrible cold for a couple of weeks now and it just got the best of me. Abby absolutely ADORES her Papa! If Papa is around then she is adamant that he holds her continuously. She loves him so much and they have such a special bond. Papa taught her "off" and "on" and they practiced that a lot this weekend.
