Fall Festival 2008

Last night was our church's fall festival. It is an incredible event. They were estimating over 15,000 people to be there. Chris volunteered at one of the booths and was really getting into it. Abby did great in her poodle costume. She loved seeing all the little kiddos walking around in costumes. But her very favorite part of the whole festival was the petting zoo. This girl LOVES animals!!! She is definitely in her element around animals. She thinks they are all her little friends. We spent most of the night in the petting zoo area. She had the biggest grin on her face and she was ecstatic when she discovered REAL, LIVE bunnies in there! She had her "Bunny" with her and ran right over to the real bunnies and tried to put her Bunny on them. She chased those bunnies all over the place. I picked one up and let her pet it and she grabbed it and gave it a big hug and tried to give it kisses. She was in love. But she was also very interested in all the other animals. She made it a priority to give every animal in there a friendly pat. She touched every single goat and chicken. There was even a big cow with horns that was lying down and she ran right up to it's head and patted him between the ears. It was so sweet. As a Mom, it brought me so much joy to watch her having such a good time.
